Opinion: Fear is something you can control.

Advice: You do not need a cure for fear, because you can overcome it yourself.

 

High Concept: On Earth where climate change has disrupted the balance and dissonance of unrest bubbles to its bursting point.

 

Setting: Earth, in the near future, where climate change has threatened the lives of everyone.

 

Year: 2054

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Description of world: In the year 2054 the world has been ravaged by climate change, earthquakes, flooding, water, food shortages, along with wars that follow the chaos. In the past twenty years an organization called “The Lodge” created by scientists, governed officials and entrepreneurs with infinite resources have established them self’s as a figure of peace in the world. They have built bases in every single country and have aided in rebuilding cities, helping the world with food, water, and allowed stability to return to the world. The Lodge, after many years have proposed a question; what would happen if there was a world with no fear? In order for their plan to work, humanity, must go through a simulated nightmare within their own mind and battle their worst phobias and or fears.  Once an individual battles their own fears and succeeds their mind is altered and can live their life with no fear. You do not need a cure for fear, because you can overcome it yourself.

 

Character Groups: The Lodge, The Rich, The Poor, and The Middle Class.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Definable Locations: Lodge Headquarters (Montana)

 

Unfamiliarity: This story has unique qualities that only lie within this game. A world devastated by climate change, global catastrophes and organization called the Lodge has been the face of peace in this time of crisis. The Lodge has been able to rebuild cities and help in aiding people all around the world. What really makes this story unique is the aspect that the Lodge has invented a machine to put a person into a simulated Nightmare. This Nightmare allows a person to battle their worst fears and phobias; once all phobias have been surpassed that person can live a life without fear at all.  The lodge has built this machine because they believe that it is the best solution to allow humans to focus on the real issues at hand instead of all their fears.

 

Broad Geographical Boundaries: Earth has 196 countries; in each country the Lodge has a base. Due to the Lodge being as a peaceful organization they have established a base in each and every country. They are neutral worldwide and help people every way they can stretch there infinite resources to.

 

Room for History:

2020 – The Lodge Assembles.

2026 – Climate change causes too much rain and causes flooding.

2030 – Sea Levels rise and national catastrophes’ increase.

2032 – Los Angeles hit by massive Earthquake, levels city.

2032 – 2035 – The Lodge reveals themselves and helps rebuild Los Angeles.

2036 – The Lodge receives Nobel Peace Prize for helping rebuild and contain climate change.

2042 – Different from 2026, Climate change has now caused little to no rain. Food is extremely limited. The Lodge has created food.

2046 – People become afraid because of lack of food due to the climate. In order to get food, water and other resources people begin rioting.

2051 – Riots and global disruption continue.

2054 – PRESENT DAY (Game Starts), the Lodge allows global access to their fear remover machine.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Social segments:

Earth is similar to as it is in today’s real world, humans are segmented by normal countries and borders. Except now humans are segments more by class, then anything else.

 

Status Ladders:

Lower class – poor, homeless, the dirt of the nation

Middle class – average minimum wage worker back bone of America.

Upper class – The rich wealthy class of America
